Policy references and restrictions

Maintain applicable policy sources, preview impact before activation, and explain to users why an action is limited (PO01–PO03).

Policy reference register (PO01)

Each reference stores exact source title, section, version, dates, applicability owner and precedence, and distinguishes binding rules, agency-adopted procedures and professional guidance. Commercial limits and product choices are never labeled as law; unverified references cannot create enforcement automatically.

Review policy impact (PO02)

  1. 1

    Open the change

    e.g. DEMO-POL-04 workflow revision.

  2. 2

    Preview impact

Affected screens, actions and in-progress cases.

  3. 3

Inspect workflow test / Review transition

    Confirm before authorizing adoption.

Heads up — A lower-level policy cannot relax an inherited mandatory control. Historical actions keep the governing policy version.

Why this action is limited (PO03)

Wherever an action is restricted, users can open a drawer that explains it:

Restriction
e.g. SI processing paused.
Authority type
e.g. agency operational control.
Scope
e.g. this workspace, all SI requests.
Policy version / Reference
e.g. DEMO-SI-2.
Decision owner
e.g. agency SI administrator.
Allowed next step
e.g. continue manual work or contact the owner.
Note — The drawer never exposes restricted policy content or suggests that a user can override a mandatory control.
