The first time you open the workspace, a short guided setup walks you through four steps. Every step saves preferences only — none of them changes your access.

Onboarding steps

  1. 1. Confirm your responsibilities (ON01)

Review the name, office, responsibilities and authority your agency assigned (e.g. *Contract specialist and research owner; no CO warrant*).

  2. 2. Choose your work perspective (ON02)

Select which authorized lens to start in (e.g. Contract specialist vs Research owner).

  3. 3. Choose your starting work (ON03)

Pin frequent guided jobs (e.g. *Research a new need*, *Review assigned packages*) to My Day.

  4. 4. Set up your companion (ON04)

Configure Scout display name, context, preference memory and morning brief — or continue without it.

  5. 5. Review and complete

Preferences save once; you resume only an accessible saved job.

Step details

Responsibilities
Read-only. If something is wrong choose Request assignment correction — you cannot grant yourself roles, warrants, designations or records.
Perspective
A lens filters presentation only. Persona previews use separate synthetic records and cannot perform live actions.
Quick starts
Only jobs available to you are listed. Pinned shortcuts recheck permission when invoked; a later role change invalidates inaccessible shortcuts.
Companion
Requires the Sigma module and an approved processing route. Setup is optional and never delays manual work. Assistance style controls suggestions, not execution authority.
Tip — A COR with a confirmed assignment may see a watch recommendation during onboarding. Saving the setup is separate from activating an automation — activation needs its own review.
Heads up — Completing onboarding does not activate pending assignments. If some assignments are still pending, onboarding finishes in Core and leaves those records hidden.
