Intake turns an award into managed work. It never writes to the contract-writing system; imported records are read-only evidence deduplicated by agency, PIID, parent and source event identity.

Contract intake

  1. 1. Find a contract

Search by stable identifiers. If a workspace already exists you are offered *Existing workspace found* — resume instead of duplicating.

  2. 2. Intake overview

Connection availability, document matches and team confirmation are tracked independently.

  3. 3. Match documents

Link official and internal documents — see document matching.

  4. 4. Review extracted facts

Confirm, correct or mark unverifiable each fact with page evidence.

  5. 5. Resolve conflicts

Ask the official source owner — see source conflicts.

  6. 6. Assign the team

Contract specialist, CO and COR — see team assignment.

  7. 7. Readiness

All mandatory checks → managed work — see readiness.

  1. 1

    Open the register

    Acquisitions › Contracts & Orders.

  2. 2

    Select the candidate

e.g. CT-DEMO-012 (source: contract-writing system snapshot; official document awaiting match).

  3. 3

    Bring contract into work

Choose Review source match or Upload official document (governed upload with quarantine).

  4. 4

    Work through the steps

The intake header shows record type, current performance period, intake owner and source refresh time.

Resume after a source change

If the source changed since your last review you see *One new source update since your last review* and a side-by-side of saved values vs the current source. New source data never replaces saved review decisions automatically — apply only the changes you accept.

Note — An unavailable source is not evidence that no documents exist.
